Policies and Procedures

2-Year Sacramental Prep Requirement:

The Diocese of Bridgeport strongly encourages students to enroll in faith formation consecutively from Kindergarten onward and currently requires that children receive at least two consecutive years of faith formation prior to celebrating a sacrament to ensure that students are formed in the Catholic faith and understand the significance of the sacraments they are celebrating.

Attendance Policy:

Attendance is mandatory.  It is important to arrive on time and stay until the class has ended.  If your child is unable to attend class for any reason, they will be marked absent.  In such cases, we will send home work to be done in lieu of the class.  If the homework is completed and returned to us, we will change that absence to present ex post facto.  We permit each child two absences throughout the year.  All other absences must be made up by completing the home work.  If your child has more than two absences they will not be eligible to move on to the next year or to receive their sacrament until such absences have been made up.

Student Conduct:

Students are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with our Catholic faith.  Students are to respect one another and their teachers.  Language and conversations must be respectful.  We will not tolerate profanity, mocking, or disruptive talking.  Neither will we tolerate exclusion, teasing, or discrimination based on background, ability, or family situation.  Phones are to be on silent and put away during class.  Behavior or actions that violate this policy will be reported home, and if the behavior persists, families may be asked to complete the remainder of the faith formation curriculum at home.
