Eucharist / Communion

Comm 6

At the Last Supper, Jesus left the Church with the great gift of the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of his Body and Blood.  Whenever Mass is celebrated, we are nourished by God’s Word in the Scriptures and fed by Christ through our reception of Holy Communion.

At The Parish of St. Catherine of Siena and St. Agnes, the preparation for the first reception of Holy Eucharist takes place in the 1st and 2nd Grades, and actual reception of Holy Communion is in the Spring of the child's 2nd Grade.

For more information about how to prepare your child for this sacrament, visit our Youth Programs page here.
